Join a high-performing, collaborative team at LHH, where passion and purpose meet performance. We’re looking for an Account Manager Team Leader to support a UK-based enterprise client portfolio, working in close partnership with a dedicated Business Developer.
This client-facing role sits within our Career Transition & Mobility vertical and is part of our UK sales team. You will be the trusted advisor to our clients’ HR teams, helping them support their employees through career transitions and workforce mobility.
The Account Management Team Lead plays a pivotal role in building a high-performing client success culture at LHH. You will lead and develop a team of account managers while personally managing a portfolio of complex client relationships. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll ensure retention, expansion, and outstanding delivery across our Career Transition & Mobility vertical. This role requires a balance of leadership, strategic account management, and hands-on client engagement. You’ll work closely with business developers, sales leadership, and cross-functional colleagues to protect and grow revenues, deliver exceptional client experiences, and shape the long-term direction of our UK sales business.
You’ll be expected to spend at least one day per week in one of our regional offices to collaborate in person with your team and contribute to our vibrant work culture. In addition, regular face-to-face client meetings are a key part of the role, building strong relationships through genuine engagement and visibility.

In this role you can expect to
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers and Senior Account Managers, ensuring they deliver world-class client experiences.
- Ensure team understanding and consistent execution of objectives set by the Head of Account Management, aligned with LHH’s UK&I strategy, with a focus on retention, renewal, and growth.
- Drive sales discipline and operational excellence across the team, ensuring consistent use of Salesforce and best practices.
- Partner with the Head of Account Management on training, career development, performance management & KPI‘s
Account Management
- Deliver a world-class client experience focused on retention, quality, and operational excellence.
- Work closely with business developers to shape the strategic direction of each account, ensuring contract renewal and margin protection
- Manage contracts proactively, ensuring timely reviews, renewals, and identification of new opportunities
- Build in-depth knowledge of each client account, providing insight and feedback to enhance service engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for operational support
- Develop and maintain strong, credible relationships with clients and internal colleagues alike
- Support account growth and retention by identifying ways to expand our share of wallet and market presence
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, including client meetings, contracts, and contact details
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful client onboarding, rollout, and ongoing delivery
Success Will Be Measured By
- Achievement of team and individual revenue and retention targets.
- Contract renewals and growth across the client portfolio.
- Client satisfaction and advocacy, measured via feedback and NPS.
- Development and retention of high-performing Account Managers.
- Consistent sales discipline and operational excellence across the team.
All About You
- 6+ years’ experience in account management, customer success or sales leadership roles, ideally within HR, professional services, or B2B solutions.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth and client retention.
- Confident communicator with senior stakeholders; excellent presentation and influencing skills.
- Empathetic, resilient, and client-first mindset.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook).
- Willingness to work flexibly, with regular client meetings and at least 1–2 days per week in-office.
